Syracuse football has hired Green Bay Packers assistant Myles White as its wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, ESPN reported Tuesday.
At 34 years old, White worked with the Packers for the 2024 season through the organization’s minority coaching fellowship. Before a jump to the National Football League, White led the University of Miami Ohio’s wide receiver group in 2022 and 2023, also taking on the role of passing game coordinator.
He held the same role at Stephen F. Austin in 2021 and broke into coaching with SMU from 2019-20 as an offensive quality control coach. Through his playing career, White became a Second-Team All-Western Athletic Conference selection in 2012 for Louisiana Tech, then going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft.
White played sparingly for Green Bay, in the first two years of his NFL career. In 2015, White appeared in 12 games for the New York Giants, even recording a touchdown. After stints across the NFL and two years in the Canadian Football League, White last played in 2018.
As SU’s wide receivers coach, White will replace Ross Douglas, who left for the same position at Oregon. In one season at SU, Douglas helped it evolve into the top passing offense in the nation.
